Craigslist Dresser Revamp

This is a dresser and night stand set that I purchased off of Craigslist.  It is also my first project using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.  This paint is amazing!  No sanding or priming required.  I first sanded the top of the pieces down because I wanted to stain them with Minwax Dark Walnut.  After the tops were sanded, stained and sealed, I painted the rest of the pieces with Annie Sloan "Duck Egg".  The paint goes on very smoothly and dries quickly.  I then lightly distressed with sand paper and then used a combination of clear and dark Annie Sloan waxes.  This was a very easy project and I love the finished products.  What do you think?

  13. Love, love both pieces! I'm probably the only person in blogland that hasn't tried ASCP. It's so difficult to determine the colors...at least for me. Some indicate they are a grey shade and then someone comments about the taupe finish. I have 4 pieces of furniture to paint right now and here I sit, still doubting. :-)

So glad I found your blog...stopped by from Debbiedoo's. I'm a new follower so will be looking for more guidance about painting furniture.

Stop by and say hi when you can!
