Another Dresser : )

It's no secret that dressers are my favorite pieces of furniture to redo.  I found this one on CL and it was in really great shape to start.  The top was pretty beat up, but other than that, it was fine.  I sanded the top down with my orbital sander and stained it with Minwax "Dark Walnut".  I then sanded the drawer fronts down a little because there were a few scratches.  I painted the whole thing with ASCP in "Aubusson" and then heavily distressed.  The entire piece is sealed with clear poly.  I gave the hardware a quick update with an oil rubbed bronze spray.

  5. Looks so good! I redid a desk that my husband had (and destroyed) as a kid. Boy, from that experience I sure hope you had an electric sander. Whew!
